- Identify the Issue: Determine whether the rejection is due to similarity with another trademark, lack of novelty, unclear description, or other reasons.
- Prepare and Submit a Response: Submit your response to the Directorate of Trademarks within a maximum of 30 (thirty) days from the date of receipt of the rejection notice. Ensure that the response is sent according to the procedures set by DJKI.
- Appeal: If your response is not accepted and you wish to proceed, prepare the necessary documents and information for an appeal.
- File a Lawsuit with the Trademark Appeal Commission: If you believe your trademark should be accepted and the appeal is denied, you may file a lawsuit with the Trademark Appeal Commission.
- Submit a New Application: Another option is to apply for and submit a new trademark application. To avoid another rejection, design a new trademark or a variation of the previously rejected trademark and/or consider potential reasons for rejection.
